Missing Person Appeal – Niall Brennan – Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary

TheGardaí at Clonmel station are seeking the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Niall Brennan, last seen on 18 October in the Mullinahone area.

On the morning of the 18th, CCTV shows him leaving his home at 6:29am, returning briefly at 6:50am.  Niall is seen again leaving at 7:27am, wearing the same clothing. A neighbour at this time saw him turning right onto Carrick Street, walking toward the Garda station, after which his direction is unknown. There are several possibilities which he could have travelled towards - Rock Road, Ballylanigan area, Clooneen Village, Fethard, or the N76.

Searches:

Extensive searches of rural land, ponds, streams, wooded areas, and road networks have been carried out by Gardaí and Civil Defense, supported by drones and dogs. The local community have been asked to search their own properties for any sign of Niall.

CCTV:

Investigating Gardaí are making available CCTV that shows Niall in Wilson’s shop, Mullinahone on the 17th at 18:20, wearing a navy puffy jacket (possibly Aldi/Lidl brand), dark tracksuit bottoms.  Niall has also a splint and bandage on his left hand which is quite distinctive. Gardaí believe Niall is wearing these clothes when he leaves his house for the last time. 

Garda Appeal:

  • Any motorists who were in the area after 7:30am on the 18th to check for dashcam footage, or if they believe they may have seen Niall.
  • Direct appeal Niall to make contact and let his family know he is safe.
  • To the local community to continue to search their own lands and outhouses for any trace of Niall.
