Crime Prevention - Assault Reduction Strategy

On this month’s Crimecall, the team went to Galway to highlight the launch of An Garda Síochána’s Assault Reduction Strategy - Operation Soteria.

The team went on patrol with the Gardaí in Galway and interviewed a victim of a serious assault, a consultant, and members of An Garda Síochána.

Operation Soteria is aimed at preventing assaults occurring, through targeted, timely patrols and engaging with community partners to promote personal safety. The strategy will raise awareness of the consequences of assaults on victims, their families and convicted persons.
