Aggravated Burglary – Douglas Cork

The Gardaí at Douglas are investigating an Aggravated Burglary that occurred on March 28 2026 between 8.40pm and 8.53pm.  There are at least (5) suspects sought in connection with this incident.  While the homeowners were away from the house, the front door was damaged and forced open.  A safe was removed containing cash and jewellery.

When the victims returned to property they encountered (4) males exiting with the safe. One of the suspects hit one of the victims to the head. The suspects than made their way to a fifth suspect who was parked nearby in a dark coloured  (4) door saloon. The suspect car turned onto the Douglas road in the general direction of Cork city

The men then left with the safe containing cash and jewellery.

Garda Appeal:

• Appealing to anyone that was in the Douglas area between 8:30 and 9pm on 28th March 2026, that may have noticed approximately (5) males acting suspiciously in the area, to contact them.
• Anyone that has come across any of the jewellery, to contact them.
• Anyone that has any information in relation to this incident.
