Crime Prevention

On this month’s Crime Prevention Segment Sergeant Amanda Flood was in studio to discuss a number of crimes, including

• Assaults

• Public Order Offences

• Criminal Damage

• Thefts

Sergeant Flood discussed these matters in more detail and offered advice and tips on how best to keep yourself and your property safe.

Sergeant Flood also discussed Halloween Safety Advice in relation to fireworks found in the possession of persons. An Garda Síochána are asking that parents be responsible in ensuring that their children do not cause injury to themselves or others during Halloween.

To assist with delivering a message of safety, An Garda Síochána has developed a "Stay Safe on Halloween" presentation aimed at parents and adults in the community, and also a “Halloween Safety” presentation which is suitable for secondary school children and activity sheets aimed towards primary school children. For more information on these or to get a copy, contact your local community Gardaí who will be able to assist you.
