Vacancy for Principal Officer - Corporate Information Systems ICT 23/11/21

The Head of Corporate Information Systems is a Principal Officer position working in An Garda Síochána’s ICT Branch. Reporting to the Director of ICT, the person appointed will have overall responsibility for corporate and administrative information systems. 

The Head of Corporate Information Systems is responsible for the support and development of all corporate and administrative information systems, setting the vision and future direction for this important portfolio of systems, and ensuring that these systems operate efficiently and reliably to critical standards and timelines and meet internal and external customer expectations. 

The Head of Corporate Information Systems will ensure that the systems under his / her remit support the delivery of corporate business plans, and ICT strategy and business plans.  ICT is a vital component in the daily work of An Garda Síochána and ensuring information systems are delivered to agreed service levels is critical to the overall success of the organisation. These corporate and administrative information systems may be hosted on premise, as part of a government shared service or cloud based. Therefore, a key area of responsibility for this role will be to ensure the highest levels of availability and security are maintained across all corporate and administrative information systems.
