Clearance of snow on the N9 - update

The Kildare County Council / Kildare Garda operation on the clearance of snow from the M9 is near completion.

Most areas from Junction 2 to Junction 4 have been cleared successfully but further works are required Northbound and will continue until Friday evening (10th Dec).

It is hoped that there will be a minimum effect on traffic movements but some restrictions may be necessary as the operation progresses.

Motorists are advised to be aware of this operation and to drive with extra care until all works are completed.

Motorists should still note that care will still be required on all routes until all lying snow is fully cleared. Kildare County Council / Kildare Gardai wish to thanks the public for their assistance in the completion of this operation.
