Court Appearances - Death of male, 55 years, Navan Road, Wednesday 27th November 2019

Two men (aged 40 and 31 years) are due to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court at 10:30am on Monday 7th December, 2020 charged in connection with the death of a 55-year-old man in Cabra in 2019. Both were arrested this evening in the Dublin area and brought to Ronanstown Garda Station where they were charged.

The deceased was the victim of an alleged serious assault at Darling Estate, Navan Road on 14th November 2020 and died on the 27th of November 2019. Following results of a post-mortem examination investigating Gardaí commenced a murder investigation in December 2

Gardaí in Cabra investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a 55-year-old-male in the Navan Road area on Wednesday 27th November 2019 are appealing to the public for information.

Speaking today at Blanchardstown Garda Station, Superintendent William Carolan said, "As part of the investigation, Gardaí wish to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Navan Road from Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Church to the Halfway House in Ashtown on Thursday 14th November between 4.30pm and 5.30pm."
 
In particular Gardaí wish to speak to any road users with camera footage travelling through the area at the time.

Gardaí are investigating the death of a 55 year old man found at a residence off the Navan Road, this morning Wednesday 27 November 2019. The body has been removed for a post-mortem which will be conducted by the Assistant State pathologist, tomorrow, Thursday 28th November 2019 which will determine the course of the investigation.
