Fatal road traffic collision at Drogheda, Louth on the 16/8/11

Gardai in Drogheda are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision on the 16th August 2011. A four old boy died in the collision which occurred in Tullyallen Drogheda, Co. Louth.

The collison occurred at approx. 5.45pm in Townley Manor, a housing estate in Tullyallen, Drogheda.  The collision involved a 4yr old boy who was cycling his bicycle at the time and a truck.  The boy was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
 
The scene of the collision has been preserved for a Forensic collision examination.
