Shooting Incident in Templemore, Tipperary on Thursday, the 9/9/10

Gardaí in Templemore, Tipperary are investigating a shooting incident which occurred shortly after 1am this morning (9/9/10) at Patrick Street, Templemore.

An 18 year old youth received a gunshot wound to the abdomen.  He was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 21 year old man was arrested a short time later under Section 30 Offences against the state act he is currently detained at Templemore Garda Station.

The scene is currently sealed off pending a Garda Forensic Examination.

Investigations are continuing.
