Investigation into the murder of Peter Gunn on the 15/1/09 - Court appearance

Two males in their 30’s will be appearing at Blanchardstown District Court at 11am this morning, the 5th November 2010, in relation to the murder of Peter Gunn.

Gardaí investigating the report of a missing 29 year old man, Peter Gunn from Glasnevin, Dublin 9 have now launched a murder investigation.  They have confirmed Peter Gunn as the male that was found on the 15th January 2009 at Dunsoghly Lane, The Ward.

Gardai wish to appeal to anyone that may have seen Peter Gunn in the Summerhill area on the 4th January 2009 or since then, to contact them. In particular, any taxis drivers that may have been in the area and who may have carried or seen Mr Gunn.

Mr. Gunn is described as being approximately 6’2” of medium build, with short dark hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a cream t-shirt and white runners.

In addition anyone that may have passed or used the Dunsoghly Lane at The Ward, Co.Dublin in the past 10 days and who may be able to assist the Gardai with their enquiries is asked to contact the incident room at Finglas Garda Station on 01 – 6667513, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
