Fatal road traffic collision Co Clare

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Derrainy, Whitegate, Co.Clare at 9.20 p.m. on the 31st of October 2010.

A man in his 30s was fatally injured when the car he was driving crashed into a tree.  The man, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no other vehicle involved in the crash.

The road at the scene is closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
