Gardai in Thurles are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N62 at Grange, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
At approximately 23.20pm a 20 year old male was fatally injured when the motor car he was travelling in collided with a ditch.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant, a male aged in his 20's, was taken by ambulance to Limerick Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The road is closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
