Drug seizure and two arrests in Cork on the 8/11/10

As part of an ongoing operation into organised criminal activity Gardai have seized a quantity of Cannabis and arrested a man and a woman.

The drugs were discovered at approximately 2.15pm when Gardai stopped a car on the South Ring Road.  Cannabis (Grass) with a street value of €200,000, subject to analysis, was seized.

A man and a woman both aged in their 30's were arrested at the scene.  They are detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at the Bridwell Garda Station (Cork).
