Drug seizure and arrests in Rialto Court, Dublin on the 2/11/10

As the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the South Inner City Gardaí from the Drug Unit at Kevin Street conducted a planned search at an apartment in Rialto Court yesterday evening, Wednesday, the 2nd November 2010.

A quantity of heroin with a potential street value of €100,000 (subject to analysis) was seized.

Also seized in the search were drug paraphernalia such as weighing scales and bagging material.

Three males were arrested in a follow up investigation.

The 3 males,  aged 24, 22 and 16 years are detained at Kevin Street and Harcourt Terrace Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.

The operation is a follow-up to the seizure of cocaine, with a value of €50,000, and a hand gun in the Rialto area on the 31st of October 2010.

There were no arrests in this incident.
