Aggravated burglary at Dunboyne, Meath on the 20/1/10 - 2 arrested

Gardai in Ashbourne are investigating the circumstances of an aggravated burglary at a dwelling in Dunboyne at approx 23.55hrs on the 20/1/10.

Two men entered the house wearing balaclavas and were believed to be in possession of a firearm. Two occupants were in the house at the time of the incident.  There were no injuries received and the raiders left with a small amount of cash.


Two men (41 & 24yrs) were later arrested in Blanchardstown, Dublin in connection with the incident.  A firearm and knife were recovered.


They were subsequently detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939 as amended in Navan Garda Station.
