Women’s Mini-Marathon Sunday 21st September 2025

GENERAL ADVICE

This year’s Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on Sunday 21st September 2025.

It follows a 6Km route starting at 13:00 hrs on Centre Park Road, to the Marina Promenade, Blackrock Road, Park Avenue and on to the finish line on Monahan Road adjacent to Kennedy Park.

Participants will congregate at the Marina Market on Kennedy Quay where there will be registration and number collection from 10:00 hrs

Participants are requested to use public or shared transport where possible as there will be limited parking in the vicinity of the event.

ROAD CLOSURES

Road closures will be implemented on a phased basis from 12:00 hrs as follows:

Marina Walk / Mill Road:      12:00 – 13:30

Centre Park Road                    12:00 – 13:40

Blackrock Road:                     12:45 – 14:30

(From junction with Castle Road to Churchyard Lane)

Monahan Road:                      12:45 – 15:00

Once participants have passed specific junctions on the route the roads will be reopened to minimise disruption to traffic and local residents as much as possible.       

PARKING

• Parking will be available in City Centre Car parks
• DO NOT Block entrances to housing estates, business premises or parks.
• DO NOT Block or park on foot-paths.
• DO NOT Park in disabled spaces or bus stops
• DO NOT Park in an area which may restrict access/egress for emergency vehicles

BUSES

The race will impact on the following Bus Eireann routes – 202 Hollyhill to Mahon Point  & 212 Kent Station to Mahon Point which will operate via Boreenmanna Road from 12:00 to 15:00.

DROP OFF

The drop off area for taxis is on Victoria Road, just before Marina Walk.
