Serious road traffic collision in Louth on the 3/10/15

Gardai in Dundalk are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at Carnbeg on the Old Armagh Road R177 at approx 11am this morning the 3rd October 2015.

 The female driver (30's) of one car was airlifted to Tallaght hospital with serious leg injuries. A baby in her car received minor injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda. The male driver (20's) of the 2nd car was also taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda. There was no one else involved in the collision.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
