Drug seizure and two arrests in Sligo on the 15/11/12

As part of an investigation by the Garda National Drugs Unit, the Sligo Drugs and Crime Units and Revenue’s Customs Service, Methylethcathinone with an estimated street value of €8,750 (pending analysis) was seized.

It was seized when Gardai searched a car in the Forthill area of Sligo this afternoon. 

Two men aged in their 20's were arrested and are currently detained at Sligo Garda Station under Section 2 of the criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Methylethcathinone is synthetic stimulant product similar to Mephedrone commonly known as MEC.
