Conclusion of PM in relation to murder of John Kerins 9th Nov 2012

Gardai investigating the murder of John Kerins can confirm that the post mortem was completed at 12.45pm today the 10th November 2012.

He received gunshot wounds to his upper body
 
An incident room has been set up in Bailieboro Garda Station and the investigation is ongoing. Gardai are still at the scene carrying out a Forensic Examination.
 
Gardai would like to renew their appeal to anybody that was in the Cornaveagh and the Canningstown area of Bailieboro between 5pm on Thursday the 8th November and 8am on Friday the 9th of November who may have seen anything suspicious or out of the ordinary to contact the Gardai at Bailieboro at 042 9665102, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

At approx. 11am today the 9th November 2012 the body of a middle aged man was found dead at his home in Cornaveagh, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan.
 
The body has been removed from the scene and brought to Navan Hospital where a post mortem  will be conducted tomorrow morning the 10th November.
 
The  scene is still preserved and the technical examination will continue in the morning.
