As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai searched a house at Rochfortbridge yesterday evening (26/1/2012).
During the course of the search Garda discovered a quantity of Cannabis with an estimated street value (subject to analysis) of €1500. A cultivation tent located at the rear of the house was also searched and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €9200 (subject to analysis) were also seized.
A male aged in his 40's was arrested at the scene. The man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Mullingar Garda Station. He was later released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
