Gardai at Ballymote are investigating the circumstances of a shooting incident which occurred at Tubbercurry, Co Sligo, on the 26th September 2011.
At approximately 8pm a male aged in his 30s sustained a gunshot during an incident at Connolly Park, Tubbercurry.
He was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital. The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Ballymoate Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
