Open day for Traffic awareness - Shankill Garda station

On Wednesday, the 2nd November 2011 at Shankill Garda Station from 12pm to 3pm, there will be a Road Safety event aimed at every road user from infants to older persons.

There will be a number of demonstrations from the Gardai including demonstration on check points, traffic collisions, alcohol testing, and speeding.


The Road Safety Authority Shuttle Bus will be also be available to all members of the public to test their driving Skills. The RSA shuttle bus allows you to test your driving skills in both motorcars and motorcycles. The simulators on board this bus expose you to real life situations testing your competence as a driver.


The Dublin fire brigade will be in attendance, with HSE ambulance crew to give you a demonstration and how your experience may require theirs. There will be a crash site demonstration displaying what is actually involved in removing the occupants from a car.


This is a free event open to everybody. Your safe use of our roadways is the aim of this event.
