Ciaran Noonan murder investigation - Update

A male aged in his 30's was arrested in the north Dublin area this morning (15/11/2011) by Gardai investigating the murder of Ciaran Noonan.

He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at Store Street Garda Station.

A murder investigation has been launched by Gardai following the discovery of a body of a man in Co. Meath on the 4th November 2011.

The body has been indentified as that of Ciaran Noonan missing from Russell Ave, East Wall, Dublin, since the 20th October 2011.  

A post-mortem examination has concluded and preliminary results have been furnished to investigating Gardai.  

As part of the investigation a male aged in his 20s was arrested in the north Dublin area this morning (6/11/2011).  

He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Store Street Garda Station.
