Drug seizure and arrests in Meath on the 20/7/11

As a result of an intelligence led operation by the Garda National Drugs Unit, two men aged 47 and 39 were arrested at a house in the Bettystown area at 2.30pm today, the 20th July 2011.

They were in possession of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately €1.5million – subject to further analysis.

They are both detained at Kells Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
