Appeal - Post Office Robbery, Castlebellingham, Co. Louth, 26/2/2010

Gardai have released a description of two men believed to have been involved in the incident.

Further to our earlier appeal Gardai in Ardee are seeking the Public’s assistance in their investigation into the robbery of an amount of cash from the Post Office at Castlebellingham, Co Louth today the 26th Feb 2010.

Shortly after 9am this morning the 26th February a sum of money which was in a black sack was picked up from outside a Hairdressers close to the Village Stores.

Two men described as follows;

6ft, grey hair with grey moustache, mid 40’s to mid 50’s ,wearing a brown jacket,
The other man early 30’s, thin build black hair.
Were seen driving a black car new model no better description in the area at the time.

In addition to the above  a male mid 40’s to mid 50’s, spiked dark hair, wearing a suit  driving a silver coloured Toyota Avensis 05 D   no better description was seen in the area of the shop around the time of the incident, Gardai would like to speak to this individual.

Around the time of the incident 2 buses were going through the village of Castlbellingham one heading for Dundalk the other for Drogheda, Gardai are appealing for anyone on either bus or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or unusual either today or even over the last number of days to contact the Gardai  in Ardee on 041-6853222, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
