Discharge of firearm and arrests at Tullamore, Offaly on the 28/4/10

Gardai at Tullamore are investigating the discharge of a firearm at the front window of a house in Kilbrook, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on the 28/4/10 at approximately 11.30pm.

A female in her 20’s who was in a front downstairs room received minor injuries as a result of what is believed to be debris from the window.  She was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and did not require hospital treatment.  There were three others present in the house at the time.  They were  uninjured.


Gardai arrested a male in his 20’s shortly after 2am in the Tullamore area and he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.  A second person, a female in her 20’s, has been arrested shortly before 8am on the 29/4/10.
