Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the R121 at The Ward, Finglas, Co. Dublin, in the early hour of this morning, Saturday 30th May 2026.
The collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 12:40am.
The male driver of the car (aged in his 20’s) was conveyed to Conolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment of serious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.
The coroner has been notified.
The male passenger (also in his 20’s) was conveyed to hospital as a precaution.
The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and is expected to reopen shortly.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the R121 at The Ward, Finglas, Co. Dublin - between 11:50pm on Friday 29th May and 12:40am on Saturday 30th May 2026 - are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
