27/05/2026 (Update) Court Appearance - Joint Operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €4.2 million

Further to the below press release, the male (40s) arrested in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis on Tues 26/05/2026 has been released from the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

He has been charged with offences contrary to Section 3 & 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84 and will be brought before Ennis District Court this afternoon.

Investigations are ongoing.
