Today, Friday 22nd of May 2026 as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Drugs Unit Crime North DMR West and Revenue Customs Service, approximately 20 kgs of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €400,000 was seized in West Dublin.
In a follow up search by An Garda Síochána a further 20 kgs of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €400,000 was seized.
One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in a Garda Station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.

Limerick.
One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in a Garda Station in Co. Limerick.
Investigations are ongoing.
