Gardaí are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the death of Yves Sakila following an incident on Henry Street, Dublin 1, on Friday 15th May 2026 shortly after 5:00pm.
The post-mortem examination has been completed by the Office of the State Pathologist. The results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
Gardaí have recovered footage from CCTV and social media of the incident.
However Gardaí are looking to speak with anyone who was on Henry Street (between Moore Street and Coles Lane) during the period 5:00pm until 5:25pm on Friday 15th May 2026.
A Senior Investigative Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation by the Serious Crime Unit in Store Street. An incident room has been established in Store Street Garda Station.
A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed to the family of the deceased.
Gardaí continue to engage with the male (aged in his 80s) who was injured.
