20/05/2026 Update (2): Serious Assault in Blanchardstown, Dublin – 17th May 2026

A man in his 30s, seriously injured during an incident in Blanchardstown on 17th May 2026, was pronounced deceased in hospital earlier today, 20th May 2026.

The Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

Two male juveniles, both in their mid-teens, who were arrested as part of the investigation, have now been charged. They are due to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 4:30pm this afternoon, 20th May 2026.

Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who travelled on Mill Lane, either on foot or by car, between 4pm and 5pm on 17th May.
