Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the R702 near Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford yesterday, Monday 18th May 2026.
Gardaí and emergency services responded following report of the collision, involving a car, that occurred at approximately 11.30am.
The male driver of the car (aged in his 20’s) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been conveyed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford.
The coroner has been notified.
The road was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling on the R702 between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday 18th May 2026 are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
