Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic incident which occurred at Little Island, Cork on Friday evening, 17th April 2026.
Gardaí received report a pedestrian had been struck by a car and attended at approximately 11:50pm.
The pedestrian, a male aged in his late teens was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital. He has since been declared deceased.
Forensic Collision investigators attended the scene of the incident and an examination took place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 11:00pm and midnight on Friday 17th April 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
