Update (6) – Arrests: Fatal Assault, Birdhill, Co. Tipperary, 21st March 2026

Gardaí continue to investigate a fatal assault which occurred on the R494 at Birdhill, Co. Tipperary on Saturday 21st March 2026 shortly before 5:30pm.   The two males (aged in their late 40s and late teens respectively) who were arrested have since been released without charge in connection with this investigation.

Files will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoing.
