The following allocations of Chief Superintendents took effect, on promotion, from the 7th April 2026:
Chief Superintendent Des McTiernan on promotion to the DMR West Garda Division, Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Chief Superintendent Dermot McKenna on promotion to Internal Affairs, Garda Headquarters.
Chief Superintendent David Kennedy on promotion to DMR East Garda Division, Dún Laoghaire Garda Station.
Chief Superintendent Charles Armstrong on promotion to DMR North Central Garda Division, Store Street Garda Station.
The following allocations of Superintendents take effect from today, 20th April 2026:
Superintendent Gavin O'Reilly, Cavan Garda Station, with responsibility for Cavan Community Engagement Functional Area.
Superintendent John Callanan, Baileboro Garda Station with responsibility for Louth/ Cavan/ Monaghan Crime Functional Area.
Detective Superintendent Cormac Brennan to the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).
Detective Superintendent Steven Mullen to the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI).
Superintendent Michael Dorrigan, Dundalk Garda Station, with responsibility for Dundalk Community Engagement Functional Area.
Superintendent Michael O’Keeffe, Pearse Street Garda Station, with responsibility for Pearse Street Community Engagement Functional Area.
Superintendent Ronan Farrelly on promotion to the DMR Communications Centre.
