Gardaí in Dundalk have arrested and charged three individuals in connection with the seizure of more than €20,000 in illicit drugs and cash.
Shortly before 2pm on Thursday July 1, 2021 Gardaí attached to the Dundalk District Drugs Unit conducted a search of a house in the Mullaharlin Road area of Dundalk.
During the course of this search Gardaí seized €12,660 worth of cannabis herb, €5,600 of cocaine, and almost €2,000 in cash along with smaller quantities of LSD, ecstasy tablets and magic mushrooms.
Arising from the seizure three men and a woman were arrested at the scene and detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Three men, two in their mid-20s, and one in their mid-30s have since been charged in connection with this seizure and have been released on bail to appear before the courts later this month.
A woman in her early 20s was released without charge and a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
