Seizure of cannabis resin and MDMA in Navan on the 10th May 2018 One male charged.

Gardai investigating the seizure of Controlled substances in Navan on the 10th May 2018 have charged a male aged 23 years in connection with the seizure, he will appear before Court no. 2 CCJ, Parkgate St. at 10.30am this morning the 12th May 2018.
 
A second male aged 36 years was charged in connection with a separate smaller seizure and was released on bail to appear before Trim District Ct on the 22nd May 2018 at 10.30am.
 
The female aged 27 years was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

As a result of an on going intelligence led operation by Gardai from the Meath Drugs Unit assisted by Navan Detective Unit a premises at Fitzherbert Woods, Navan was searched on the 10th May 2018.
During the course of the search Gardai discovered Cannabis resin with a street value of approximately €225,000(subject to analysis) and MDMA with a street value of approximately €110,000(subject to analysis). Three persons(one female aged 27 years and two males aged 23 & 36 years) were arrested and are currently detained at Navan, Kells and Trim Garda stations under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
