Man arrested and charged for robbery at a petrol station in Cork on 25/08/18

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s following a robbery at a petrol station on Model Farm Road, Co. Cork on the 25th August 2018.

At approximately 10:30pm a man wearing a balaclava entered the petrol station armed with what is believed to be a knife. The man threatened staff and demanding money and cigarettes. He left the scene and was arrested by Gardaí a short time later. The property stolen during the robbery was also recovered.  

He was brought to Togher Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He has since been charged to appear before Cork City District Court this morning, 27th August 2018 at 10:30pm
