Gardai in Galway are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Monivea Road near Carnmore at approximately 2pm yesterday (2/08/18).
A 70-year-old male was fatally injured when his car was involved in a collision with a truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Galway. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
This stretch of road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
