Body of a man discovered in Meath on the 2/12/17

The man’s body was discovery this morning in a field at Walterstown, Dunboyne near the Meath / Kildare border.


The scene is preserved for a forensic and technical examination and the Garda Technical Bureau have been requested to attend.

The office of the state pathologist and local Coroner have been notified.  

The body of the man remains at the scene and has yet to be formally identified.  

No additional information is available at this time investigating Gardaí are however treating the death as suspicious.   An incident room has been established at Ashbourne Garda Station and enquiries are ongoing.   Further updates will follow.
