Aggravated Burglary at Pauds Cross, Blarney, Cork on the 12/9/16

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at Pauds Cross, Blarney, Co Cork on the 12th September 2016 at approximately 21:05.

A lone male entered the house and was confronted by the owner (man early 60s). A struggle ensued in which the injured party received a number of puncture wounds. The suspect fled the scene and the injured party was taken to Cork University Hospital and has since been released.
 
Gardaí were alerted and after an immediate and extensive search, a man in his early 30s and a woman is her mid 20s were arrested and brought to Gurranabraher and Mayfield Garda Stations and are being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, as amended.

The scene remains persevered for a technical examination and the investigation is ongoing. Gardaí are appealing for witness to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station at 021-4946207, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
