An Garda Síochána Renewed Appeal - Recent Murders in Dublin

Since the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel a number of investigations have been on-going.

To date there have  been 23 people arrested  and almost 100 searches conducted in relation to these investigations and a number of people have been charged and brought before the courts. 18 firearms have been seized and over 7,000 lines of enquiry have been conducted.  2,600 statements have been taken and 2,500 high visibility overt checkpoints have been conducted
 
Superintendent Finbarr Murphy wishes to appeal to the public for their assistance in relation to the Regency Murder investigation on the 5/02/16.

Investigators are keen to trace the movements of a silver coloured Ford Transit 03D58865 around Buckingham St in the days prior to the murder  and also the movements of this van from Buckingham Street  to Drumcondra between 1pm and 2.20pm and near St Patricks College, Church Avenue, Ormond Road and Grace Park Road before shooting.
 
He also wishes to appeal to anyone who may have been in and around St Vincent’s GAA ground Marino and who saw anything unusual of suspicious in relation to people or cars there.
 
Once again Superintendent Murphy wishes to ask people with photos or video footage at the weigh in or in and around the Regency Hotel at the time of the shooting to contact them.
 
Superintendent Dan Flavin wishes to appeal to anyone who can assist with the Edward Hutch and  Gareth Hutch investigations to come forward and he thanked the community for their assistance to date. Superintendent Flavin also asked anyone with footage or photos that may be of assistance to contact them.
 
In relation to the Gareth Hutch investigation he wished to appeal to trace the movements of a  silver Skoda Octavia 05D15049 on the 24/05 or days before  and a  Black BMW 02D39051 near Avondale House 24/05/16 and its  movements in the days leading up to the 24/05/16.
