Gardai in Mountjoy are investigating a serious stabbing incident which occurred on Parnell Sq North, Thursday 29th October 2015 at approximately 4.10pm.
A male (25 years) received serious injuries to his face as he was walking on Parnell Sq north, he was accompanied by a female(24 years)who was uninjured in the incident. He made his way to Temple St Childrens hospital and was transferred by ambulance shortly afterwards to the Mater hospital, where his injuries are described as non life threatening.
No arrests have been made at this stage, the scene was preserved for a technical examintaion
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Parnell Sq North between the 3.50pm and 4.10pm and who may have seen any unusual activity to contact Mountjoy on 01 6668600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
