Drug Seizure & Arrest, Irishtown 17th October, 2015

As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the South City of Dublin Gardaí attached to the District Drugs Unit, Pearse Street have seized cocaine and cannabis with an estimated value of €750,000 pending analysis.

The seizure was made, yesterday morning, Saturday 17th October, 2015 following the planned search of a property and vehicles in the Irishtown area of Dublin. One man, late 40s, was arrested at scene and was detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He was released late last night without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
