As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Westmeath area.
Gardaí from Mullingar searched a premises this morning, 16th October 2014 in Rathgarrett, Tyrellspass where approximately 500 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €400,000 (subject to analysis) were seized.
One man in his 30's was arrested and is currently detained in Mullingar Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. The scene is currently being technically examined.
