Aggravated burglary in Douglas, Cork on the 19/11/14

Gardai in Douglas are investigating an aggravated burglary at a house on the Cross Douglas road, Cork City on the 19th November 2014.

At approximately 4.30pm the male (68 yrs) householder returned  to find a male intruder in his house, a struggle ensued and the injured party received a head injury and what is believed to be a stab wound to his lower body. He was taken to Cork University Hospital, where his injuries are described as non life threatening.
 

The suspect left the property with a computer and camera equipment.
 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information, in particular any person who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the Cross Douglas road between 4.15pm and 5pm today the 19th November to contact them in Douglas on 021 4947120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
