Gardaí at Tuam, Co. Galway are investigating a serious assault which occurred at High Street, Tuam at approximately 2.30a.m. this morning Saturday 3rd May, 2014.
A male, aged 27 years, received serious head injuries as a result of an assault. He was removed to University College Hospital Galway and then transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where his condition is described as serious.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area of High Street between the time of 2a.m. and 3 a.m. to contact Tuam Garda Station on 093 - 70840, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
