Man arrested and charged regarding fatal shooting in Tallaght on the 13/3/09

Gardaí have arrested and charged a man, 29 years, in connection with the fatal shooting of Seamus O' Byrne which occurred on the 13th of March 2009 at Tymon North Park, Tallaght.

 The man was arrested in the Dundalk area this afternoon and is due to appear before District Court 2 Criminal Courts of Justice this evening, Wednesday 7th May 2014 at 4pm.
 

Note to editor, this is the 3rd person to be charged in connection with this investigation.

Gardaí investigating last night's fatal shooting in Tymon North Park have made 3 arrests. 

The arrests were made late last night in the Crumlin area. 

All 3 people arrested are male and they are being detained at Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda Stations under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act. 

One man is in his late teens and the other two are in their mid 20's.

Gardaí at Tallaght are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the driveway of a house on Tymon North Park shortly before 8.30pm this evening. 

A 27 year old man was shot a number of times by a lone gunman and died at the scene. 

A 26 year old female was shot in the leg and has been taken to Tallaght Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. 

The scene has been preserved and the services of The Garda Technical Bureau and The State Pathologist have been requested. 

No arrests have been made.
