Launch of June Bank Holiday weekend appeal 2014

There was a press event (photocall and interviews) in Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park at 10.15am on the 27th May on the front square.

 In attendance were Assistant Commissioner Twomey, An Garda Siochana and the CEO of the Road Safety Authority Moyagh Murdock.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) and An Garda Síochána are appealing to drivers, ahead of the June Bank Holiday  weekend 2014 to slow down. They are also asking all road users to take part in  a national ‘Slow Down”day, which will take place for a 24 hour period, from 7am on Friday 30th– 7am Saturday 31st May 2014.
