Gardai in Carlow investigating the discharge of a firearm have arrested two males.
On the 5th of May at approximately 4pm a firearm was discharged from a car in the O Hanrahan Avenue area of Carlow town. No one was injured and the car left the scene.
In a follow up operation last night gardai arrested two males in their 30’s in Carlow Town.
They are currently detained in Carlow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area of O Hanrahan Avenue, Carlow between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on the 5th of May who may have seen anything or be able to assist the gardai with the investigation to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136620, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
